Vibro cast crucibles
The largest capacities in the range — cast and vibration-compacted in high purity alumina, up to 1,000 kg of steel.
Key benefits
Talk to a Technical ExpertCapacity beyond pressing
Vibro casting reaches capacities up to 1,000 kg of steel, well beyond the 265 kg ceiling of the pressed range.
Cast in high purity alumina
Cast in high purity alumina, matched to your alloy, furnace and melt size.
Round and flat bottomed forms
Made in round and flat bottomed forms, with pouring spouts, ladles and bezels also cast to order.
Inspected before dispatch
Every casting is individually inspected by qualified inspectors, with kiln batch numbers giving full traceability.
The vibro casting process
Vibro casting forms the crucible by compacting a refractory mix into a mould under vibration, building solid, consistent walls at sizes beyond the largest pressed crucibles.

Alumina Crucibles
The workhorse of the range. High purity alumina handles both air and vacuum induction melting, with the thermal shock resistance and smooth, non-wetting surface the investment caster relies on.
Round and flat bottomed forms
Vibro cast in both round and flat bottomed forms, sized to your furnace and pour.
Spouts, ladles and special shapes
Pouring spouts, transfer ladles and special shapes cast to order alongside the crucibles.
Capacities up to 1,000 kg of steel

Frequently asked questions
Send your alloy, furnace type and requirements with an enquiry and our technical team will advise.
Vibro cast crucibles are made in high purity alumina. For other materials and smaller capacities, crucibles are isostatically pressed — our technical team will match one to your process.
